Mantle M1183TH – S35VN Titanium Frame Lock, Hammered Titanium Inlay

MANTLE — TITANIUM WITH WEIGHT AND TEXTURE

Inspired by the dense layers beneath the Earth’s surface, Mantle is built around a substantial titanium frame and a compact, solid profile.

The latest production focuses on two hammered titanium versions: M1183TH in natural titanium and M1183DH with a black stonewashed PVD finish. The hammered surface breaks up the otherwise clean titanium construction, adding depth and texture without turning the knife overly decorative.

Hammered Titanium — The Defining Detail

Mantle’s hammered titanium treatment gives the handle a more irregular, tactile surface while preserving the clean character of titanium.

M1183TH keeps the material in its natural titanium tone for a more understated, raw-metal appearance.

M1183DH takes the same hammered treatment into a darker direction, using a black PVD finish followed by a stonewashed treatment for a worn-in, textured appearance.

A limited quantity of earlier Timascus variants remains available while stock lasts.

CPM-S35VN Drop-Point Blade

The 82.48 mm / 3.247" drop-point blade is made from CPM-S35VN, heat treated to 59–61 HRC.

Its flat grind and practical blade geometry make Mantle well suited to everyday cutting, while S35VN provides a balanced combination of edge retention, toughness, and corrosion resistance.

Titanium Frame Lock

A titanium frame lock keeps the construction straightforward and robust, with the lock integrated directly into the handle.

Combined with the thick titanium scales and compact dimensions, it gives Mantle a noticeably solid feel in hand.

Compact, but Deliberately Substantial

Mantle measures 197.61 mm / 7.78" overall, with a 114.96 mm / 4.526" closed length and a weight of approximately 150.64 g / 5.313 oz.

It is not designed to disappear in the pocket. The additional weight and thickness are part of its character: compact in overall size, but dense and substantial once in hand.

Built Around Material, Not Decoration

Mantle has appeared in several material combinations, but the current hammered titanium versions bring the design back to its strongest elements: titanium, texture, weight, and a restrained silhouette.

For users who prefer the material itself to define the knife, M1183TH and M1183DH are now the primary Mantle configurations.
